| It is definitely not going to look right in person if the black paint is applied to the exterior when the rest of the black on the taillight sections is beneath the plastic It has been almost 8 years since I replaced mine, and it looks new, but I cant remember what the underside looked like whether the material that fades is sandwched into the plastic or if it can be removed from the underside of the strip and redone/repainted/refinished that way.
